Day 7 we traveled to the far West side of the island to walk along Polihale beach.  It was beautiful, but it was really windy and the waves were too big to attempt going into the water.  While we were on the island a massive storm struck and brought on waves that were 30 to 50 feet high!  These waves were the highest they had seen in a decade!Kauai 1 Kauai 2

Afterwards, we headed back up into Waimea Canyon again to view some different angles.Kauai 3 Kauai 4 Kauai 5

Then back to Salt Water Ponds beach again where we saw another monk seal!  They are so adorable!Kauai 6 Kauai 8 Kauai 9 Kauai 10

That night we strolled through the sweet town of Hanapepe, where every Friday night they have an art walk.Kauai 14 Kauai 16Kauai 15

We came across this quaint little cemetery just as the sun was going down and I fell in love with the colors and the beauty of the space.  These are some of my favorite photos from our trip.Kauai 17 Kauai 18 Kauai 19 Kauai 20 Kauai 21 Kauai 22 Kauai 23 Kauai 24
