Downtown St. Paul Styled Photo Session

I put together a little styled photo session for myself a few weeks ago because I was feeling a bit rusty and I needed to get out and get inspired.  I also wanted to try out some different poses and shoot at some of my favorite classic locations in downtown St. Paul.  When I saw this dress on Rent the Runway by Allison Parris I knew I had to make this happen.   I LOVE the ice blue color and the playfulness of the tulle.  I thought that adding some pink with the ranunculus and the delicate white anemone’s would be a nice touch for Spring.  Thank you Frank at Best Wishes Floral!  I wanted my model’s hair to be really romantic but classic, so Kira of Onsite Muse, whipped up this gorgeousness!  Thank you Kira!  And, of course, thank you to my lovely cousin Bryanna (who just happened to have this incredible necklace that matched the dress perfectly) for modeling for me!  I think she had a lot of fun and she looks stunning!  I also wanted to play with lighting a bit and we ended up having an awesome sunset which worked out beautifully for my shots at the end of this post.  Oh, and I almost forgot to thank my fabulous husband Tim for being our chauffeur and light handler for the evening!
