On our very last day in Costa Rica, as we made our way along the bumpy roads for our 4 hour drive to the airport, our cab driver had to pull over at a rest stop. But he pulled over at a very specific spot, because he had heard me say that, sadly, we had not seen any Scarlett Macaws. When he got out of the cab, he informed us that there has been a whole family of Scarlett Macaws living in this giant tree in front of us for the past ten years and that we should get out to see them. I was so excited I practically pushed everyone else out of the cab so I could get out! They were way high up in this giant tree, but what an awesome sight it was and a great way to end our trip! Thanks to our super cab driver!
